First played DDR in December 2002 in Cincinnati, my brother and his friends got me into it.

Got ITG home version and played a bunch of that, was a little dismayed to get to the arcade and find the timing harder (no joke, I FEC'ed Charlene with less than a 90%). Gradually through the end of middle school and the beginning of high school, I was proud to become a scrappy tournament player, sometimes likened to a cockroach because I was hard to get rid of.

Stopped playing toward the end of high school after I got a stress fracture from daily DDR + daily running + daily tennis, was living my best life. There was no machine at college.

Went to Taiwan and played DDR X2 in summer 2011 twice daily, had an incredible time.

Then stopped playing until like 2017, when I got my machine. Took me a while to fix it up, and then I would play at DnB sometimes. DnB took their machine out a couple years ago, but I've been playing ITG off and on for the last few years. My form is still really funny but I've gotten some good timing scores and trying to be more efficient without modding the heck out of my machine (using recessed panels on a Supernova upgrade).
